We start our trip in Kitzbühel in beautiful Tyrol. The region in the western part of Austria is characterized by a strong landscape through the Alps and that gives it its unmistakable character. The Kitzbüehler Horn is a well known mountain, with a height of 1'996 meters above sea level, which adorns the Tyrolean Alps.
From the center of the Kitzbüehler city center, an 8 kilometer-long panorama road leads directly to the alpine house. From there, a pleasant hiking trail winds its way up to the mountain peak. Halfway you reach the imposing alpine flower garden, which astonishes the connoisseur with its impressive variety of flowers and plants.
Back in the center of Kitzbüehl you should take a short drive to the «Hexenwasser», about 20 kilometers away. It is located in Söll in Tyrol and has inspired young and old for years. The «Hexenwasser» is also known for the longest barefoot trail in Austria, where all the senses are activated in a playful way.

Uniqueness of Salzburg
After activating your senses on the barefoot trail in the distinctive «Hexenwasser», you are ready for an excursion to the glacier Kitzsteinhorn in the province of Salzburg. The summit, which is over 3’000 meters above sea level, is reached by cable car. Once you have reached the top, you can walk over the glacier and enjoy the breathtaking view. If you are looking for an authentic alpine nature experience, you should register for a guided hiking tour (free of charge).
Further east on the northern edge of the Alps towards Salzburg is the next "Must Visit": the «Dachstein Salzkammergut»! Since 1997, the area has been a UNESCO World Heritage. In hardly a region, culture and nature harmonize as well as in the «Dachstein Salzkammergut». The tourist region extends over three Austrian provinces: Salzburg, Upper Austria and Styria.

In the Styrian region of the UNESCO World Heritage is an absolute highlight. It is located at 2’700 meters above sea level, accommodates 150 people and provides an adrenalin kick which you will not forget. The talk is of the roof skywalk, a spectacular platform with breathtaking view.
In hardly any other place you get a greater view over the Austrian mountains like here. Absolute adrenaline junkies, which are completely free from giddiness, can also pass the «Dachsteiner Hängebrücke» - the highest-lying suspension bridge of Austria.
