On 21 May 1871, Europe's first mountain railway set off from Vitznau to Rigi Staffelhöhe - a milestone in the history of the Rigi. Nowadays, the mountain boasts a unique mountain cableway paradise with the cog railway from Goldau and Vitznau and the cableway from Weggis. Wherever you arrive from, a breathtaking 360° panoramic view awaits you at the top, all year round.

A hiking network of 120 km stretches over the Rigi and guarantees plenty of opportunities away from the hectic daily life. Just a few minutes from the railway stations, the majestic peak showcases all its varied facets. Should you feel hungry after a long walk or hike, you'll find plenty of options to satisfy your stomach on the Rigi.
